Emily Bracale is a life long artist.  Her training and mentorship began in childhood, where she had the continual influence of professional artists and art teachers, including her mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a number of artists who took retreats at her family’s pastoral residence in Michigan.  She attended the Interlochen Arts Academy, Amherst College, and College of the Atlantic. Later, she  traveled around the world, intensively studying art, landscape, and architecture, while recording scenes of daily life through sketches and paintings.

She now resides on Mount Desert Island, where her work is inspired by the natural beauty of Acadia National Park and the rocky Maine coast. She has been exhibiting and selling her work for over twenty years, in galleries, open studios, libraries and schools. She has completed numerous commissioned pieces, including estate portraits, landscape renderings for design firms, and illustrated biographies. She also has twenty years of experience as an art teacher, offering workshops and private lessons for children and adults, in schools and at her studio.
